The Metropolitan Club was established in 1993 by Billy Lawlor, Tom McEvoy & Mike Jensen. The primary focus has always been to bring people together at a quality social events with the goal of charitable giving.

The main event every year for the club is The Christmas Bash. Held on the first Saturday in December, "The Bash" is commonly referred to as "The Best Christmas Party in NYC". Now, the Bash will known as the "Best Christmas Party in NJ". Since 1993 the party is responsible for over 15,000 toys being given to needy children in the Metropolitan area. The Bash typically attracts 1,000 people, ranging in age from 25-45. For many, it is a re-union of the Jersey Shore or Hampton's Beach housemates. For others, a way to dress their best and celebrate the Holidays in style, knowing they are going to brighten a child's day on Christmas morning.

This year, The 15th Annual Christmas Bash will be held at the Harborside Financial Center Atrium in Jersey City, NJ! This is the FIRST time the bash has been in New Jersey! As always, The Bash is a black tie optional, with business attire as the other option. All guests are asked to bring an un-wrapped, new toys for children with them to The Bash.
